Required qualifications:
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
-Proven experience (5+ years) in a data-oriented position (Data Scientist or Data Engineer), preferably in a data-rich environment.
-Selecting features, building, and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques.
-Data mining using state-of-the-art methods.
-Experience in computer vision, image, and text mining.
-Ability to extend the company’s data with third-party sources when needed.
-Enhancing data collection procedures to include relevant information for analytical systems.
-Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
-Performing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear and concise manner.
-Creating automated anomaly detection systems and continuously tracking their performance.
-Excellent knowledge of ML algorithms (e.g., k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.).
-Experience with data science toolkits like R, Weka, NumPy, MATLAB, etc. (proficiency in at least one is a must).
-Strong applied statistics skills, including distributions, statistical testing, and regression.
